In 2002 the Glasgow Housing Association was established to take charge of Glasgows Housing stock of approximately 89,000 properties. Part of the remit of the GHA is to ensure that all of the properties conform to the European legislation on decent homes, that is to bring all the properties up to a liveable standard.

TRANSCAST have been involved in this project since its inception, from helping develop the original pricing matrix in conjunction with the GHAs' contractor partners and suppliers, into a workable document that could be properly priced and worked to for the projected 7 year programme.

Since 2003, when the works have commenced we have held framework partnership agreements with ROK, CBC & Lovell, 3 of the GHAs' partnering contractors and to date we have carried out over 260,000square metres of external wall insulation in the Glasgow area alone.
