Partnership enhanced with the award of two new contracts
Friday 12th February 2010
We are currently on site at Kitts Green, Birmingham carrying out a full external strip out and over clad of 15 no bungalows for GFT and BCC. The work will see the value to the properties increase from 2.5w/m2k to 0.36w/m2k and give a brick effect finish using Structherm Ltd's Macerend render finish.
We are delighted to announce that our recent partnership with GFT has been further enhanced with the award of two new contracts. The first involves the structural over cladding of hard to treat Asbestos properties in Erdington, Birmingham. This will commence in March 2010 and sees the removal of potentially lethal Asbestos cladding and the installation of a structural cladding to provide not only a safe solution to structurally deficient homes, but also warmer and more attractive properties for the residents.
The second scheme is the prestigious Lyndhurst Estate in Erdington on which we are carrying out the external refurbishment of 5 high rise blocks. The scheme is part of the governments plans for the future funding of social housing and could revolutionise the way in which such schemes are carried out. The 36 week programme will see a mineral fibre insulated render system applied to the external elevations of the 5 blocks. Transcast will also be installing the Rockpanel exterior cladding system and support frame to feature panels to these blocks.
